My Works to Date

Committed: A Memoir of the Artist's Road is a unique contribution to the annals of the literary memoir genre. It tells the story of a Washington, D.C. journalist-turned-lobbyist who struggles with the legacy of a dysfunctional family history and heads out on a five-week cross-country U.S. road trip, engaging with creative and generous individuals who trigger in the author a yearning to pursue an authentic and creative art-committed life. It was published by Black Rose Writing in October 2014. I have reverted the publishing rights from Black Rose back to myself and the book is currently out of print. However, signed copies are available via Amazon

I am currently at work on an urban fantasy novel tentatively titled The Unmoving Stars.

Beautiful Landscape
Committed: A Memoir of the Artist’s Road is a wonderful, triumphant book! I love the portraits of the people and places, both of which come alive as the book builds to a vivid crescendo. Patrick Ross is a skilled literary journalist.” — Sara Mansfield Taber, award-winning author of Born Under an Assumed Name: The Memoir of a Cold-War Spy’s Daughter
